1984 Pittsburgh Maulers Tee
The Story
The Pittsburgh Maulers entered the USFL as an expansion franchise for the 1984 season. Despite losing millions of dollars and only winning three games, the Maulers were competitive in most games and had a solid attendance record by USFL standards.
However, because they shared Three Rivers Stadium with the NFL's Steelers, they made moves to relocate when the USFL announced plans to move from a spring to fall schedule in 1986. Ultimately, they never found another home and became a "one-season wonder."
