The Lancaster Red Roses were on of the original six teams in the Eastern Professional Basketball League (renamed CBA in 1946). The Red Roses consistently brought in large crowds in Lancaster, but due to poor management, a few league changes and no regular home venue, the franchise folded in 1980.
