The Story
The Houston Hurricane played at the Astrodome from 1978 to 1980 before eventually folding in 1980. Even though the Houston Hurricane were a strong team in the NASL, it wasn't enough to keep the orange, white and red in Houston. With players like Keith Van Eron & Roland Sikinger donning the orange, white and red in Houston, the Houston Hurricanes should have been able to fill seats. The reality however what much different and with low attendance, the Houston Hurricane soon folded and became no more.
