The Story

The Miami Floridians began as the Minnesota Muskies, a charter ABA franchise. The Muskies finished with the league's second-best record, but wretched attendance figures led owner Larry Shields to sell a minority stake to a group of Florida businessmen and moved the team to Miami. In order to pay leftover debts in Minnesota, Shields sold Rookie of the Year Mel Daniels to the Indiana Pacers, a deal now reckoned as the most lopsided trade in ABA history.  After just 4 years in FLA, showing no progress in profitability, the team was disbanded in June 1972.

Our t-shirts are made sustainably from 100% combed & ringspun cotton and printed with eco-friendly, water-based ink that blends into the fabric with each wash, giving it a softer feel and more character as time goes on.
