Penn State Vintage Hockey Valley Tee
The Story
Penn State played its first-ever varsity hockey contest in 1940, but was suspended shortly afterward as part of a war-time economy measure.with the effects of World War II being felt throughout the university. Hockey returned to Happy Valley as a club sport in 1971 after a petition to bring the sport back to campus was signed by more than 3,000 members of the community. The "Icers" went on to have one of the most dominant club hockey programs of all time, and was finally elevated back to varsity status in 2012.
