The Story

When a group of Baltimore businessmen purchased the struggling Memphis Sounds franchise in the summer of '75, the new owners first named their team the "Baltimore Hustlers." A season ticket brochure with the new Hustlers logo went out to the public, but when the ABA league office got wind of the "Hustlers" nickname, it objected and "strongly encouraged" the Baltimore owners to choose another nickname. Soon after this directive, the "Baltimore Hustlers" quietly became the "Baltimore Claws" and the great Hustlers name and logo was soon forgotten. Until now.

Our vintage-inspired grey heather tees are made sustainably from a soft blend of premium cotton, polyester, and rayon and printed with eco-friendly, water-based ink that blends into the fabric with each wash, giving it a softer feel and more character as time goes on.
