Conceived by businessman David Dixon, who saw a market for a professional football league that would play while the NFLwas in their off-season, the United States Football League began play in the spring of 1983 but lasted only 3 seasons.
The USFL had a significant impact on the NFL both on and off the field - almost all of the USFL's on-field innovations were eventually adopted by the older league, and a multitude of star players in the USFL would go on to enjoy very successful careers in the NFL.
The NFL would also eventually have franchises in some of the markets which the USFL had proved successful for pro football or had renewed interest in the game, including Arizona, Jacksonville, Tennessee, and Baltimore.
Pay homage to the short-lived league with our signature tee that was crafted with the intention of being the softest shirt in your lineup. Made with a blend of fabrics including high quality combed and ring spun cotton, our tee is cut for a modern fit and printed with water-based inks that actually blend into the fabrics giving it more character with every wash.
