1976 USA Hockey Athletic Crewneck Sweatshirt
We're channeling the spirit of '76...1976 that is. Our '76 athletic crewneck features the eagle from the sweaters of the long forgotten USA hockey team that competed in the inaugural Canada Cup tournament of 1976. After Team USA failed to make the medal round and finished in second-to-last place, the team quickly faded to an insignificant memory in USA hockey history as was common with America's sub par teams between 1960 and 1980. Perhaps due to Team USA's failure in the tournament, this unique and (in our humble opinion) beautiful eagle crest uniform was unfortunately never used again.
Designed to look and feel like that old school college sweatshirt you stole out of your dad's closet, this crew is primed to become your go-to weekend warrior. Lightweight and comfy, this is the perfect piece for layering under your winter parka or worn on its own around a summer night campfire.
