Goats have been on ships for centuries as living garbage disposals and in 1893 the Naval Academy decided to honor that tradition by naming "Bill" the goat as mascot. While they haven't all been named Bill since that time, the current reigning mascot is Bill XXXIII and Bill XXXIV, his backup, is just waiting for his time to shine.
Our '46 Navy shorts honor not only the Bill the Goat tradition, but also Navy lacrosse's 1946 national championship. These shorts are made from a gold, quick dry material that gets more comfortable with every wash. Featuring contrast navy pockets, an embroidered logo and a great fit, these shorts are perfect for the beach, the couch, or your sub.
